ICON 56 Saimai เป็น Community Mall แห่งใหม่ย่านสายไหมเพิ่งเปิดให้บริการครับ มีทั้งปั๊มน้ำมันปตท. ร้านอาหารและฟู้ดแลนด์ โจทย์ที่ผมได้คือ ผนังบางส่วนยังต้องปิดทึบเพราะมีร้านค้ากำลังตกแต่ง แต่ผนังที่ว่ายาวรวมกันประมาณ 15 เมตรได้ วาดมือคงต้องใช้เวลาเป็นเดือน งานนี้เลยต้องวาดลงกระดาษแล้วทำเป็นไฟล์ดิจิตัล พิมพ์ลงไวนิลแล้วติดผนังอีกที ทีแรกจะทำเป็นงานขาวดำ แต่เจ้าของบอกอยากได้สีสดใสเพราะมีกลุ่มครอบครัวเยอะ ส่วนในภาพก็เล่าเรื่องการเดินทางโดยรถยนต์ที่มักจะแวะจอดหาของอร่อยๆ ตลอดทาง
ICON 56 Saimai is a new Community Mall with PTT gas station, restaurants and Foodland Supermarket. Some walls were under decoration and needed to be covered up. However they were about 15 metres long and probably took a month if I hand draw so I doodle on papers and printed on vinyle. First I was going to make the artwork in black & white but the owner wanted to be colorful for family target. The drawing tells about a roadtrip where people always stop their cars at a rest area for eating.
